A multi-purpose knife designed to perform well at a number of tasks as opposed to specialising in any one purpose. Used for mincing, slicing meat, chopping vegetables and disjointing large cuts. A must have in any kitchen.
The name Santoku is translated to ‘three virtues’ symbolises the characteristics of this knife – chopping, dicing and mincing. A great all-purpose knife.
Compared to the Chef knife they are typically smaller, thinner and lighter, may be more comfortable for people with smaller hands and allows you to chop food with ease.
This is really a great knife set, I love them and you will too. First they come in a decorative box with cut outs to hold them and the box has a \closure, so you always have a place to keep them. Secondly they are so sharp that you can cut anything with ease even just very small slices like fruit and the such.
Thanks for the feedback Lee. To keep the blade of the knives sharp and lasting a very long time it is best to sharpen your knives every once in a while.
